Throuhout the summer of 2010 Waspgo.co.uk will be destroying wasps nests throughout Trafford, Manchester, Lancashire and Cheshire for a set of thirty-two pounds (44.50 in postcodes (L, CH & CW).

The Waspman operate seven days per week including Saturdays, Sundays and evenings and do not charge an extra for evening and weekend call outs.

Wasps nests can usually be destroyed from the exterior of the premises by injecting a small quantity of insecticide into the opening using a special applicator.

It is necessary to have a wasps’ nest treated before September when the new queens which will construct next year’s nests start to be produced. Once this starts simply destoying the nest will not eradicate these new queens as they are no longer using the nest. A single nest can create up to 2000 queens.

For the whole of the summer we give priority to wasps’ nest calls as we are aware that many people react badly to wasps stings and it is important to deal with the nest as soon as it is discovered. We do our utmost to provide a same day service but this is naturally constrained by how busy we are.

It is not usual to remove the wasp nest itself as it can’t be used again and, being built from purely of a paper like material will crumble away by itself.
